Secret Squirrel – up and at them

‘Secret Squirrel’ was a popular cartoon character produced by Hanna-Barbera and also the name of his segment in The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show, which came out in 1965. He was presented with their own show on saturday morning TV in 1966, called The Secret Squirrel Show. Secret and his partner Morocco Mole (that appeared very much like Peter Lorre) fought criminals while using ultimate artillery – corny humor. Armed with only a purple hat and a white coat covering many different odd secret weaponry, Secret Squirrel – sometimes known as SS or maybe Secret Agent 000 – rounded up the most fiendish bad guys in the world on behalf of the Double-Q Agency in Great Britain. Alongside one another the heros evaded such villains as Yellow Pinky (whose name in some manner didn’t instill just as much dread Goldfinger), and while James Bond steered clear of from getting caught by using a laser beam embedded in his wrist watch, Secret Squirrel used a far more high technology tactic – a pair of scissors he had hidden beneath his hat. He first made an appearance as half of The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show in back in 1965. Just after about a season together, the 2 title characters parted ways to superstar in their own personal self-titled TV shows.
